Reprocessing of manganese
Michaeli Holdings conducts studies in energy saving technologies and learns the possibilities of recycling for tailings, slags and other waste materials dumped by mining and metallurgical enterprises in CIS.
Currently our company works over the project of manganese tailings reprocessing in Dnepropetrovsk region and started construction of one of the largest manganese producing plants in the Europe based on application of reprocessing technology.
Technological solutions which are applied at the processing plant can be considered as completely new for CIS and due to their innovative character are commercially sensitive. The final manganese product is unique as for its physical and qualitative properties. Significant difference of the produced manganese concentrate is determined by low P (phosphorus) and S (sulphur) content.
New manganese producing plant starts its work in Q3 of 2011. The productive capacity of the complex makes 50,000 tons of manganese concentrate monthly, the average Mn content is 40%.
Due to functioning of the tailings reprocessing plant Michaeli Holdings will decrease the existing ecosystem load in the region and simultaneously will produce about 80 m. tons of commercial manganese concentrate without opening new manganese ore deposits.
